Fees & Rebates
The fee for a standard consultation (50 minutes) is $200. Payment is required on the day of your appointment.
With a referral and Mental Health Care Plan, a rebate of $96.65 can be claimed. Medicare will pay rebates for up to 10 sessions in a calendar year.
If you have private health insurance, you may be able to claim some of your session fee through your extras. Your insurer is best placed to advise if psychology is covered, and how much can be claimed. Please note, only Medicare or private health insurance can be claimed on a given appointment (you cannot use both at once).
Cancellation policy
I have a 48 hour cancellation policy. A cancellation fee will be charged if an appointment is cancelled with less than 48 hours of notice. This is to allow sufficient time for the appointment to be offered to other clients seeking an appointment.
Cancellations with less than 48 hours of notice will be charged 50% of the session fee.
The full fee will be charged for non-attendance of a scheduled appointment. Medicare rebates and private health insurance cannot be used to cover cancellation and non-attendance fees.
